My daughter always loved going through this man's line at Walmart; he was so cheery and pleasant and so nice to her children, and just gave her a lift by his fun personality. It seems like a wakeup call- if someone we know has a definite personality change and seems in trouble, we need to reach out in love and see if we can lend a hand. This really makes me feel regret. He went from being a highly energetic and happy appearing person to a non social person who had sadness and hurt in his eyes. HE could be the real victim! He couldve been abused in some way and drove to snap! Some people see a killer, I see someone who needs some help, guidance, affection and therapy. Don't act like you know the whole story because you don't. If you knew Thomas at all then you'd know that there is something very strange about this whole situation. I'm not trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist but Thomas used to be so happy and full of life and then.. it was as if he had never been happy a day in his life. Look at the possibilities.. it could have been that he was mentally ill (schizophrenia, depression, etc) or it could have been that someone abused him (physically, mentally, verbally) when he was younger or even just within the past couple of years. I'm not saying that's a reason to excuse what happened but I wish people would try to be a little more open-minded and stop being so ready to point a finger and throw away another human being. People who are mentally ill tend to go to extremes, they may hold it in for a long time and then one day just let it all go. This young man used to be very outgoing and enthusiastic, but the last couple of times he rang us out he was out of it. He seemed like he did not want to talk at all.
