REGARDING:
“DEATH with no chance of parole???? I don’t get it.”

The death penalty is not allowed because he didn't manage to kill the lady, despite his savage beating of her, but it reminds us of a Massachusetts killer a few years back named Willie Horton.

He was sentenced to life in prison without parole for robbing a cooperating 17-year old gas station attendant (whom they were robbing) by stabbing him 19 times and dumping his bleeding body in a trash can. Some say Mr. Horton is not a nice man. (This was the most they were allowed because Governor Dukakis had vetoed the death penalty.)

Despite the fact he couldn’t be paroled, the penal officials in their questionable wisdom released him as part of a weekend furlough program, from which--surprisingly--he didn’t return. In fact he decided instead to go to Maryland where he twice raped a local woman after pistol-whipping, knifing, binding, and gagging her fiancé, then stealing his car. Those are some of the crimes of which we know.

He was later captured by police and the meanies in Maryland refused to return him to Massachusetts, saying, "I'm not prepared to take the chance that Mr. Horton might again be furloughed or otherwise released. This man should never draw a breath of free air again."

Anyhow, no matter what, one would wish the gentleman not be released on the general population again, bad enough the other convicts have to be around him.

15 years for this heinous crime. I bet if this guy had done this to the judge
and jury in this case I bet the sentence would have been the whole 60 years they
were allowed to sentence him.

I bet the victim in this case will not be over the scare, beatings and nightmares
she will have, before this vicious animal is back out on the street

This is another animal that should have gotten DEATH with no chance of
parole.
