I am somewhat confused by David Lamb's second post. In it he states, and I quote, “Someone is assuming that those in Century will travel to 9 mile road for those meetings. Keep them far enough away so that no one will come to meetings and appear there is a lack of support for the Langley Bell Center, Way to go”. Wouldn’t it seem logical that if the Langley Bell 4-H Center is too distant for the people in Century to come to for a meeting . . . . it would also be too distant for them to come to for any other activity that might be held there? Just a thought.

Agreed David, everytime you see someone with Extension politely tell them your opinion on the sale. The pnj and other media outlets (not NorthEscambia) is gonna make us look like the bad guys for not wanting to sell the 4H center. The US Navy will not sell their property, which is actually more desirable to NFCU than the 4H property. Why is that not the major news, US Navy refuses to sell property to credit union servicing their own people..

US NAVY stifles growth in Escambia County... (That should be the headline)

David the 4H program is not gonna be what it used to be because of the emphasis on numbers, get the agents out of the classroom and at the local 4H club meetings.

Someone is assuming that those in Century will travel to 9 mile road for those meetings. Keep them far enough away so that no one will come to meetings and appear there is a lack of support for the Langley Bell Center, Way to go! The sooner support is known and the louder the public is the less possibility it will be sold. IT IS NOT TOO EARLY!!

Ever since Mike Whitehead said he was going to punish the voters by removing soil testing from the services offered I have pretty much forgotten about the extension office. I would like to take advantage of the services, but other then the tree give away advertised here it feels like a well kept secret.

Wonder what they offer?

There should be no discussion on sale by extension agent it will be awhile before any decision will be made and all

Hope there is a large turnout. Let your wants/desires be known. Help bring the 4-H program back to what it used to be. If the topic of the sale of the Langley Bell Center comes up=====JUST SAY NO!
