He is such a good boy, he just makes criminal offenses time and time again
at ummmm what age is he, oh yes, he is 39 years old and still hasn’t learned
how to take care of his family and be a man.

Lady #2 , Give us all a break, he broke the LAW again just as he did in 1999. His good family probably was very hurt back then and he now has put them thru it again. Maybe he wasn’t thinking clearly about the boundaries of the law and certainly wasn’t thinking of the consequences it would have on his family if he got caught again. Maybe there want be a third time if he serves some time in prison. We all live and sometimes we actually learn from our mistakes. Good reporting .

“Lady” say that Greg Evers is trying to allow school children to carry guns. Another ignorant statement by an uneducated commenter. The fact is that the bill if allowed to pass would have allowed adults with concealed carry licenses to carry their weapons on campus, and yes, students if old enough to obtain a CCWL would have been allowed to carry. But again, only adults are allowed to obtain a CCWL. There are limitations put on folks who have ignored the laws of society and are convicted felons. Scott, once again, did not obey the law and is paying the price. I understand that he is basically a good guy but that doesnt excuse him from following the letter of the law.

Lady, you are kidding right? North escambia.com should just ignore the fact that jury found Moony GUILTY in federal court just because you think he’s a nice guy?

I’m glad north escambia reported the story and reports them all. It was on channel 3 too.

It is sad that Scott chose not to obey the laws of our great nation. He knew what would happen and made a really bad decision. His children and parents will suffer for the choice he made. If he had just thought of them first maybe he would have made a wiser choice. But the blame is his and his alone.

It’s not “dwelling” on a case to report that someone was convicted on federal charges. That’s reporting news, and that’s what we do.

I also think North Escambia.com should not keep dwelling on this case. After all, this community is a close one and this is the second time his picture has been plastered all over this newspaper; I haven’t seen it anywhere else but in this paper so may I suggest the editors of this newspaper forget about Scot’s problems. His family is going thru a lot and don’t need his picture plastered in here every time we open it up. Too many bad things are put in this paper on our community members.

Scott may have made a mistake in his younger years but those around here that don’t think they have family members who haven’t made mistakes have a lot to learn. He paid for mistakes and was trying to lead a normal life. So he had a gun or guns, the only thing he did was have a little pleasure out of hunting. Because someone got mad at him and made sure law enforcement knew where some hunting guns were whether they were his or someone else’s who lived there IF THEY WERE ACTUALLY FOUND. In my opinion, unless someone shoots someone and goes to jail I don’t go along with all felony convictions should bear that rule of “never having a gun in their possession”. There must not be too much concern because Greg Evers is trying to allow school children to carry guns. Scot is a hard-working individual who loves his family; he would give you the shirt off his back so I’m praying that judge will have a heart and remember the ones to put away are the ones who DO HARM WITH A GUN. I too am praying for Scott AND his family. Let’s concentrate on putting people who do harm with a gun away not ones that use it for pleasure and I don’t even know if Scott owned any of the guns; they could have been planted in his home.

Bravo! I know the parents of this man and they are fine hard working people and so are many of his close relatives. Please think about how many innocent people are hurt by comments made. My heart and prayers go out to all the family.
