People make mistakes Scott, the next time you stub your toe at work or trip on your way in the door I hope your boss has the same attitude toward you that you have toward my Aunt Christie. The law suit you will be setting up will go on his back, so why shouldn’t he fire you?

Do not judge until you drive a bus, I have known this bus driver all her life and she is a vey good driver. It is so easy to condemn someone without knowing all the facts.

I drove a school bus for 5 years. Accidents happen to very good people. Scott, I recommend that you find and attend one of Mama Hug’s “Solutions” classes. It will change your heart and your life, for the better, if you have the courage to see it through. You have “issues.” But there is awesome good in you, just waiting to be developed. For Real!

I think its sad people think just because u have a fender bender u should be fired! Scott are u perfect? Have u ever had a wreck? Have u ever made a mistake? I know this driver personally and she is a great person so if u think firing someone is the answer u are an idiot. She loves kids and she loves driving. So honestly I am glad u have no authority to decide who has a job or not!!!! Just saying. Mind ur own business

Well, I definitely will have to agree with Therese on this one. Escambia County School District bus drivers do an awesome job. This story made an unfortunate fender bender sound so much worse than it actually was….the story did not state that the bus driver was sitting still at the red light also, and her foot slipped off the brake pedal just enough for the bus to roll forward & bump the rear of the vechicle in front of her. Accidents happen, & we’re only human. Scott if you think your so perfect & can do a better job, than come put in an application, because there seems to always be a shortage of bus drivers. Also, if we all jumped to conclusions by what we read, then someof us could come to the conclusion that if you have the free time to be commenting on stories at 3:00pm on a work day (for most people), then you may not even be employed, let alone pay taxes to have to worry about a “lawsuit that will be on the taxpayers back”…… believe half of what you hear, & none of what you read

Wow Scott thats a little over board… It happens.. And what if you did one thing wrong at your work would you think being fired would help the problem.. we have some awesome bus drivers.. Iam a mother and would be proud to let my child board a bus.. any day. This driver,s are like 2nd moms to some kids. and care about every child on the bus. so as you already know wrecks are gonna happen.. . Have you seen the traffic out on the roads these days.. So drivers keep moving on.. with that smile that you have for you kids every day..

Just think of the lawsuit that this bus driver is setting up that will be on the Escambia taxpayers backs. I say its time to put the blame where it blongs & fire this person. Imagine if the bus had students on it. There is no reason for rear-ending someone at a red light .
