The driver and passenger of the red truck, or the “at fault vehicle” as some of you so blindly said, happened to be my parents. It was a complete accident. However, for those of you who are beyond ignorant, the police officer WAS at fault. He was driving entirely too fast without his lights, and wasn’t paying attention to what was going on on all sides of his vehicle. Please think before you comment on something. Use your brain. Don’t be ignorant. My parents weren’t hurt (thankfully) but I’m sure most of you don’t care about that part.. Naturally, the ignorant human being just wants something to talk about. Both parties ended up having minor injuries, like the article said. Word from the wise… Watch what you say. Karma always comes back around. Would you like it if nasty things were said about your family that was involved in an accident? God bless you all.

Wonderin,
There is no “charge” in a traffic crash unless something labeled a “Criminal” traffic violation happened. I don’t know exactly what happened in this case, as I did not investigate it but, if the driver had a good license and was not drunk, there will only be a “moving violation” (most people refer to as a ticket) as the “charge” if you will. That means whoever is at fault will most likely receive a traffic citation and their insurance will have to pay for the damages to the other vehicle. Thats like saying if you rear end someone they will go to jail. I don’t know if that is what you meant being “charged”, just some food for thought. Most likely the truck by what the article said was the at fault vehicle and received a citation for such. But there is no reason to go to jail for making a bad lane change. Accidents happen. Now if someone was drunk or intended to hit the Deputy that is a completely different story. However, by what I am gathering by the reporting (pnj, wear, and this site) on this wreck, that is not the case. Hope this helps.
