Tax dollars pay for none of this, zero. Harvest Christian Center pays a fair rate for rent set by the school. The church also compensates maintenance personel who work during these hours of their own free will. No student or faculty member is forced or pressured to attend in anyway. Many students probably have no idea that the church even rents the cafeteria. We are privileged to utilize the school and always work to leave it better than we found it.

I have been to a couple of their services since they moved to Tate. It is amazing how they get there 1 and 1/2 hours before the service starts to just a school lunch room, and totally transform it into a church complete with sound equipment, video monitors, computers, and a complete praise and worship band. They obviously have many dedicated members at that Church to get up early and do what they do in order to have a Sunday morning church service.

Big al… the rules say that the school (teachers/admin. etc.) cannot require students to participate in religion teaching. Renting the building on Sunday to a church doesn’t require any student to be forced to observe some elses beliefs.

To OMRBH: Any Tax payer Public Building may be used with Insurance coverage and meet the criteria of the agreement of the building.
Your question is not a dumb one, you just asked what a lots of people only think, question but never ask. “Ask and it shall be answered”.

Let me see now…Principals and coaches being arrested and brought to trial for having prayer before a ball game and a church meeting in a school. Again, I go to church regularly, and have no personal problem with this, but I don’t understand the rules.
