President Abraham Lincoln wanted control of the railroad so that he could control the states and win the civil war. High speed railroad will only cost the Florida tax payers in the long run. Many passenger trains are currently just barely surviving. They have to continually increase rates to pay expenses. Scott is displaying economically sound thinking and understands the economic condition our country is facing. He also understands taking these federal dollars is not just about “stimulus”, It is also about control. The feds take a tremendous amount of your dollars now. Have you thought about and calculated how much income tax you and your spouses paid to the feds this year? They will just take more and more if we continue to indebt ourselves because the debt comes with a price. More regulation.

Can’t you just imagine the confusion as it hits him his tens of millions of dollars spent to obtain the office of governor doesn’t give him unlimited power?
