I knew this girl and while i do not encourage killing anyone and it is a shame for her children, she is not or was not the saint everyone potrayed her 2 be. while it is sad that she lost her life what is even worse is that the person who was arrested 4 it is innocent. There r more sides 2 the story than whats being told and since the dead can’t speak(although she usually did most of the talking) perhaps her mother should tell the truth. People should be careful of the company they keep.

Last things first: Actually, I have to take my glasses OFF before I read. Yep, that’s me, just gotta do things differently.

As to the first, you’re right, I intentionally either twisted it or placed a twisted view on it.

A relative of mine was attacked by a former boyfriend once. He was well into his beating when she pulled out a weapon and placed a hole or two in her attacker. It forced him to stop his attack. She meets the statistical point you were making.

She also proves anecdotally that one should be careful about selecting lovers. (She drove him to the hospital ere he bled to death. Thus he lived to beat another day–just someone unarmed next time.)

I believe most are safer if they are not carrying weapons–they might shoot themselves or someone they love in a fit of passion. I also believe disarming the law-abiding would make us less safe because the predators would know we were helpless. As it is, they aren’t sure just as they aren‘t sure we‘re law-abiding.

Further, proposals to leave citizens helplessly at the mercy of the merciless and/or government causes them to feel antsy and distrustful of motives. That’s not even taking into account the number of nations who have suffered genocide when their governments decided to wipe them out or not to stop those who would.

My prayers are with the family and friends of this young woman. May GOD hold you close and comfort you! I also pray that her murderer is found quickly, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

To those of you posting negative comments- A woman is dead through no fault of her own. Why are you on here posting these negative comments?

I’ve sat and read the comments of the death of this young woman. First I think that we need to not be judgemental about who this person was or what she did to be murdered, but regardless what it was does not justify for her life to have been taken away from her and body degraded by being buried in a grave in a creek like a dead animal. If the family of this beautiful young woman is reading this my condolence goes out to you all and pray that God comforts you all in the time of heartache and hurt. As well as I pray that whoever committed this crime is brought to justice and punished accordingly. We as people have to be ever mindful of who we invite into our circle whether we know them or not whether they are black or white whether they are man or woman, because we live in a time where our society is exposed to to much and we as a society has gotten away from moral standards that is part of the our problems we are having in the world. What’s being allowed on T.V and being said on the radio as well as our political leaders showing unethical and degrading actions in our office. Until we can get a grip on these problems one at a time and start standing up for what we believe in we can eliminate some of the unnecessary violence that is taking place in our society. We have to come together as one for anything to happen, but it always takes one. Sincerely, Garry Collins.
