I have 2 teens in the NJROTC program at Northview. Dylan Cartwright, which is in this meet (pictured back row, left hand corner, wearing the ROTC jacket and a black and grey baseball cap) and his sister, Kira Cartwright. She didn't go with this meet because of other obligations this weekend. Dylan plans to join the Marines when he graduates. Kira plans on going to collage a becoming a teacher but this program is teaching her great leadership skills which she is going to need when she starts teaching. I can personally testify that this is a wonderful program for students. If I had my way, I think all students in high school should take NJROTC at some point as they would definately benefit greatly in some positive way or another by being in this program. Students take away so much from this class, the Instructors who are also wonderful Mentors, thier Classmates and all the activities and meets they are involved in during the year. I am and will always support and be proud of the Northview NJROTC cadets...they are an awesome group of kids! The Program, Leadership and the cadets are what make it so wonderful. These cadets are learning life lessons in the classroom as well as on the drill field We are proud of our cadet (Victoria Wright) and wish them great success with the competition.
