Maybe able to come home Sunday. First, I want to thank all of you for your prayers and calls. John is a very cautious hunter, and did have his safety harness on. He did have a glucose tub with him. If you are diabetic, when it gets low, it can become severe very fast. Unless you are diabetic, you do not know how it feels or how to medicate, therefore, do not presume to know what should of, could of, or would of been done. Even in the hospital, the DRS. are not even able to regulate it. This has been an ongoing battle for years. Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers. John and I very much appreciate it!!! My Great Aunt was insulin dependent her whole adult life and insulin strength could vary from batch to batch - so she always carried carmels, or a Snickers wherever she went - always had a Coca Cola or an RC near at hand around the house. Sure hope this young man makes it out next hunting season. And sure hope he doesn't have a "weather forecaster" with him from a bad repair of that ankle. My continued prayers for this young man.

Little John has been hunting with his DaD for 30 years with every precaution including the safety harness he was wearing yesterday. He also had sugar with him. He has an anomaly that occurs in his liver when he medicates for diabetes. That being said, what ocurred was part of his and his Dads journey. They both experienced that hedge of protection God provides each time I pray for them. It could have been far worse!!! They love hunting together what a gracious God we serve!!!! I praise Him to GOd BE The Glory! Great things He has done!! They felt the hand of God together!!! And I still have a wonderful husband and son, and Sandy, Cassie,and Callie still have a wonderful husband, Dad and Poppie! Thank you God!!!! I just went through the same crap on December 3 ~ my son was in the head-on collision on Pine Forest Road. There were several un-called for comments. Until a person experiences what one goes through at that time, they need not comment if they can't be supportive! Again my prayers are with all. Sometimes things just happen because you make slight mistakes but you need to admit them for change. Hope this hunter is ok and does not have pain and limp from this experience.
