>>It would have helped if you had told us the exact route the parade will take so that we would all know where to go to have a good view. Thanks for the info.

I agree. It would have helped if the parade organizers had told me or put it on their website. Seriously, I don't think you could miss it in Chumuckla. :-)

We are really proud of our little Chumuckla hitting the big time these days. Eddie was born and reared in this wonderful community. The street in front of school was named for his Dad "Roy Cook Road" because they were the only ones living down there. Eddie walked to school each day. When we married I had never seen a community as close as the people who lived there. Most of them were related or lived there their entire life. At that time, there were two churches, the Methodist church and Assembly of God. If one didn't have a minister they all went to the other. It didn't matter about denomination because they were all a close knit community. Eddie tells everyone he had to come across river the find someone not related to him to marry. When we settled in Davisville, we built a barn and had "barn dances" for the community here to enjoy. Had to turn people away it got so much "word by mouth publicity" We had a visitor a couple of weekends and he looked the barn over, went back to Chumuckla and started the "Farmers Opry". Now look how famous Chumucka is with the Redneck Parade, Farmers Opry and now the Redneck Bonfire. Think I'll start another idea here this spring and watch it grow.
