We are SO blessed to have friends, family and others that gathered together, put their faith in action, and prayed. We want to thank all that were involved in getting Taylor the medical help she needed: School Staff, First Responders, Ambulance Crew, Atmore Hospital doctors and nurses, Atmore Fire Department, Life Flight Crew, Sacred Heart doctors and nurses. Your involvement is greatly appreciated. On Sunday, our pastor said that miracles are birthed out of needs and that if you can explain what happened, then it's not a miracle. We had a desperate need and God heard all of the prayers and healed her. With the extent of her injuries, for her to be doing so well today, her fast recovery can not be explained. It was God's hand upon her life. May God bless you all! Taylor was able to come home yesterday from the hospital. Our family prays that Taylor will be bouncing around soon like she always has, and that the other party realizes that this was just an accident. Accidents do happen, even when it is kids or adults doing something that isn't level headed. It happens everyday.....and when it does, we just need to pray and help one another. In one quick instant our world has been rocked but the one that holds our world in the palm of his hands, JESUS, wasn't caught off guard...he was there and continues to hold us up. The Dr. told us it was a blessing she is here with us today, just last year a girl 15 yrs old with the exact injuries as Taylor's died. God has done a miracle for my baby and we stand in awe our how awesome and powerful our Lord is. We are also praying for the other family that has been deeply touched by this. It was an accident, and we would truly appreciate accusations to be stopped. These students are great friends and we would like to put this behind us and move on only concentrating on the recovery of our Daughter. Please continue to pray for healing and peace. May the Lord bless you all with a wonderful Christmas. We are truly blessed to be a part of such a caring and praying community. She is a wonderful, sweet member of our family and I cannot believe some of these hate filled comments. An accident has happened and my cousin was hurt, that is why they call them ACCIDENTS!!! If they were not accidents, they would be called ON PURPOSES... WHICH THEY WERE NOT!!! Taylor, Connie, and Matt do not let these accusatory comments detract you from the real matters at hand, Taylor's speedy recovery and God's hand in this miraculous healing. I love all of you.. We as parents of teenagers can not be with our kids 24/7. At some point in life we have to ask God to put angels on assignment & leave them in his hands. As mother of a teenager & if you have never been there u don't have an opinion, kids are going to be kids & do stupid stuff. Face it we all did it. Just by the grace of God nothing has happened to us nor our teenagers. But they are not exempt. I think everyone just needs to learn a lesson from this & thank God that PRAYERS were answered. All we can do is teach our kids right from wrong & pray protection over them. No one knows what goes on when their kids really are not with them. Just never let you kids leave you for the day or go to be at night without letting them know you love them & you are proud to be their parent/parents. None of us have the PROMISE of Tomorrow.
