One of the fun aspects of how the government has bailed out selected businesses is how horrified the feds were at how much money the businesses paid their top employees.

If that kept up, people might be tempted to go into industry rather than government!!

They then put a limit on how much they could receive and the top executives promptly scrambled to pay us back so they could go back to giving themselves multimillion dollar bonuses.

It almost makes you wonder if they actually needed the bailouts in the first place or if they just thought it would be free money for them.

Along those lines, Florida owns much stock in BP for retirement funds and suchlike, as do many others, so as we sue them, we cut our dividends.

So, I have to agree with Bankrupt them, then bail them out so the government has control. Let’s see, control the car companies, the banks, and now oil companies. And just what will they do with the money when they win it. Will it go to the people who deserve it like the citizens and States, city's and counties who was hurt by it. Or will they (the gov't) find a way to keep it and waste it? Oh the things you could tink 0of on this one. Hummm. It's begining to look more and more like an America we have never seen before.
