We have a very long driveway from our house to our mailbox. He "keeps an eye" on the box until the mail is picked up....so far, no problems here...knock on wood! PS: We never, ever leave anything in our mailbox overnight or for a prolonged period of time. If we are leaving the house, we take our outgoing mail to the closest post office and drop it in the drop box inside the lobby. I moved out here to the country to find out they steal everything in your mail box that has a number on it or is a check and that it doesn't do any good to talk to the mail person or the post office or send a letter to the postal general.
