I apoligize that no one took the time to direct you through back roads to get around the parade. County cops might not be very familar with the “back” roads. I have performed that task many times to ease frustration and road rage during the delay! I hope that you have a wonderful season despite the delay!!

unhappy traveler… small town celebrations are wonderful and someday we may not have them …I live in Jay on Hwy. 4…..but the deputy may not be from Jay because I could tell you several ways to go around the parade ..east -west- north and south . The only other reason would be if you could not turn your car around .Merry Christmas .

We were passing thru your town taking our elderly mother home after thanksgiving visit when we were stopped by a very polite deputy explaining there would be a short delay due to towns christmas parade. After telling us there was no way around it and even though we had already traveled three hours we thought we’d sit back and enjoy the fun! It was a charming time until our “short delay” turned into a “two hour” stop! The deputy was very apologetic to all of us who kept asking how much longer we have to wait as our eldery were very uncomfortable and others travel plans were delayed. We understand the joy of community parades but really stopping thru traffic on the only road out of town with no bypass seems very irresponsible. Serious thought needs to address this problem in the future.

What a beautiful Christmas parade, there were some very very beautiful floats; and lots of wonderful entertainment throughout the parade and at the festival… Everyone in this parade was dressed awesome.
