Big KUDOS to Miss Joan from the Atmore Red Cross! She arrived minutes after the call to the fire dept came in. She was a huge blessing to everyone as she immediately located all of the families and coordinated efforts with the local hotels for temporary shelter and necessary items. Miss Joan was also gathering contact information from the victims to help them with food and clothing items. She was truly the saint in the shadows.

i’ve heard that donations and furnishings can be made at grace fellowship in atmore. not 100% sure.

Surely the owners of this building have 4 other, empty rentals these families could relocate to. Even if only temporary. There is no need for these people to be “homeless.” I fire like this can be devastating. I hope the nice people of Atmore will be charitible and kind hearted to these victims.
