Her answers were spot on, honest, researched, and spoken from the heart. Hawkins' spent his time putting down the council, the mayor, and the citizens. He said the citizens of Century lack pride. Is he living in the same area as I am? He also claimed to be the "positive" person on the council. I just had to laugh. I liked one thing Johnston said the best. She said she wasn't a "yes man" like others have speculated. But, she carefully pointed out that she wasn't a "no man" either. She said she was a "vote the way that would benefit ALL of the citizens (wo)man". Perfect answer. And just so you know, Hawkins said he would try to attend the meetings...depending on what his schedule consisted of. He is a paid person! He is getting paid to not attend the meetings or to show up to them tardy. And the only thing he votes "yes" to is adjourning the meeting. Go figure!
