I had just left for the weekend when this happened. I’ve been here about 18 years and this happens once or twice a year, on this corner. There are plenty of signs in both directions. It is well lit. There is a big tree and an house on the west bound side. There is a dirt road (blocked by a gate) on the south bound side. Still, every year, someone is; playing with thier cell phone, changing radio stations, sneezing, searching in thier purse, etc, etc, etc. and miss the turn. People, hang up, wake up, and pay attention. There are kids and pets in the area. There is an Senior living home just down the road. Driving is a privilige and a responsibility. Wake up and drive.

Allstate raised our rates when renewed. When question I was told that there was a rate increase in our area. I feel sorry for people that have accidents but is this legal to raise insurance because lots of claims in the area that one lives in.

I agree with Bob. While there are certainly “accidents”….most are avoidable with just a tiny amount of common sense. We need stiffer penalties when the rules of the road are broken. This will not only save some of us some money by keeping insurance rates in check, it will definitely save some lives.

I have a question? Have we always been plagued with the abundance of automobile wrecks,or has North Escambia came along and made us all aware? I’m not at all surprised why the insurance companies keep raising rates to keep up with these atrocities. This is an extra expense taken from our pockets that could be rectified.

I passed a wreck tonight coming from Pensacola that looked bad. It looked like a older ford truck pulling a trailer with some type of loaded. The other auto was a suv white looked new. Maybe a chevy. Looked as if they ended up in the parking lot of the bar on right side of road in Molino. around the health office. I believe it is called Homestead. Is this the same one? If not could you give up some news on this one.
