REGARDING:
“Good grief , why would anyone want a child to take a chance on being bitten by a rattlesnake? You people need to get a life.”

Of all the comments on here, only THINKER would protect all rattlesnakes. Others would be careful about which snakes they killed because many other snakes do not hurt humans but DO KILL AND EAT rattlesnakes. Thus, killing those snakes makes rattlers more likely to bite the child.

And just in case you do not understand what is meant by two legged snakes, that is a way of speaking of humans with the minds of the worst kinds of snakes, with no conscience and more likely to kill humans than all snakes combined.

Even those should not be killed out of hand because the killer might be the real two legged snake, rather than the one he or she claimed was a two legged snake.

Kill the snake and save a innocent child that could walk up on it and not know that he/she shouldn’t pick it up or step on it. Toddlers playing outside have no idea about snakes. Good grief , why would anyone want a child to take a chance on being bitten by a rattlesnake? You people need to get a life.

Its a snake kill it just kill any of them they are snakes I dont care what people say about me killing any snake I just look at it as protecting a child sure it might not kill them but it could scare them. Anyway its a snake. I wish people stood up for abused children like they do any animals snakes whatever. I hope this person is ok .My neighbor is a snake lover he brought his big pet to my house to show me not to be scared I told him to leave before I had to kill him and his snake I am just to scared of them I do not like snakes and I dont care if I am wrong.

I’ve met a few of the two legged snakes but still advise you not kill them on sight.
Too many others will think ill of you.

We know there are snakes here. Given the chance they will leave you alone. Watch for them ALL THE TIME, not just when you are out in a field or the woods. The black snakes will kill and eat your rattlesnakes, etc. Not all dead snakes are good snakes! FYI: rabbits are not rodents. They are lagomorphs. Rats, squirrels, mice are rodents.

Hello all, hope the person recovers quickly from the bite. We live in the country, we have snakes, not all are bad, and they ALL do basically the same thing…..keep the rodent population down. Just in case it is not known, rattlesnakes do NOT have to be coiled to strike.
