@ this point they need to write it off and move on. There is too much negativity being created for both sides. The Dist. making it look like the Church ripped them off and making it look as though it’s big guy jumping on the little guy. Move on and write it off.

“i will vote but until then im not voting for no one,” enough said if you wont vote at the polls then you have no right to voice an opinion. The Constitution gives you a right to speak out with a vote. Well your voice is silenced when you don’t use it and that ends your right to complain. I may not like who run in a campaign, but I pick the lessor of the two evils and I make my mark. After that I speak out and I speak out loudly cause I now have my right to do so!

if yall want to talk about something talk about why century council board had a meeting about some funds for the senior citizen and the public was not notified about these meeting so what happen to that grant money did they all split it up among themselves again. people always want to make the church look bad when people in authority do wickness everyday.century gets so many thousands of dollar from the goverment every year and theres no jobs no school no decent shopping stores one expensive grocery store no place to even take your kids no place for a family outing.lets LOOK at the big picture whats really going on in century.they got the grant money to open up old jim walter door nothings happening with that its just grant money for the ones in authority but GODS going to uncover all the mess thats going on in century now THINK on that.why worry about some computers thats not worth much of nothing maybe the town of century has them and trying to cover it up too just like they cover everything else up.i have a right to vote but why vote when everybody we put in the seat do nothing for century just like the ones in there now doing nothing for century.when they make a change for the people in century then maybe i will vote but until then im not voting for no one

So my understanding is the school board rented the school to the church for $1 per year….THEN raised the rent to ..wait for it….$12,000.00 per MONTH. And then there was a problem with an electric bill. NOW the school board has decided some computers are missing several months after the church moves out? I could go into why the computers (obviously not worth $2,000.00) were STILL in the church when the church originally rented the school. AND why they waited so long to find them. AND question the records being kept by the school board. And why they are so concerned with a couple hundred dollars worth of computersrather than educating children and providing a safe place for them to learn and so on. But above all I can’t help but wonder why the school board is picking on a not-for-profit small church in question. What’s in it for the school board?

Quite often it is just a beef with a particular church or even particular members of a particular church, as opposed to those who would defend every member of every church because they mistakenly think they are all part of THE CHURCH, when in fact they may or may not even be Christians.

And this is me not faulting Mr. Stallworth because i imagine it is more likely simply poor record keeping elsewhere making for this fuss. The original deal was a poor one but that was on Jim Paul and he may not have even been sober when he made it. (He may have, which would be worse?)

I think it would be interesting to see a list of ALL tenants occupying Esc Cty School district property and see What Are They Each Paying for Rent? Also, what are All Non- Profits paying that occupy ECSD property? $12,000+ per Month Anyone other than New Life Baptist Church… Doubtful.

People who have a beef against “the church” will be quick to point the finger and be the first one in line to condemn somebody who is a churchgoer. People who are Christians and attend church are human just like non churchgoers They stumble and fall just like everyone else, they just happen to believe that Jesus loves them and forgives them just as they are. This pastor who is being accused is most likely innocent and just being thrown under the bus by people who need another excuse not to get right with God and attend church. Mr. Pro it doesn’t seem like a slow drive to me, it’s more like the fast track! Wonder why?

Mr. Stallworth moved into the old Century HS building with a contract with the former school superintendent Jim Paul for $1/yr. He did not work with three principals at Carver Century, but only two. One for a period of only a year. The district was aware of equipment on inventory in that building. For reasons of politics and others the situation was left alone. Upon taking office in 2008 Superintendent Thomas has corrected many situations involving this former “sweet deal.” Property in Mr. Stallworth’s possession is his responsibility. The replacement value of two computers that are six years old is certainly not that high but were used by him or his church during that period. Some price must be assessed for this hardware. A bigger question is what about the $90K church power bill from the building. Is it being paid on installments as promised?

“PLEASE!!……….imitating DHG?,” it really amazes me when you use your brain to explain a situation you get comments like this. Hmmm someone needs to think. Missing school district property is everyones concern. This stuff costs us the tax payer. Why sweep it under the rug?

Carver Century K-8 has had three principals and if the church has been there for 5-6 years than computers was left in a building with periods of break ins. During Mayor Hamilton 1st year term is when the church entered the school building. For that length of time along with the administration of Dr Busley and Mr. Nick the computers was used by Carver Middle. These computers are left behind because they were of great value and after a period of 4 months the grass is cut in 2010. Taxpayers money at work. This means that the computer are about 7-8 years old. The value is in the age. Do the math.
