I know it meant a lot to my daughter and especially to my nephew Michael as well as the entire family. I would especially like to thank Mr. Rick Shackle, Tate's principal, for making it an excused absence so the students could attend without being penalized for missing a day of school. Family members as well as people from the community were most impressed with their genuine respect and concern for their fellow classmate. To all of the students from Tate High School who took the time to come to the wake and funeral of my brother-in-law Bruce, thank you! But I do know that God understands the pain you must be feeling right now. And He is Faithful! He will be you strength to get you through the next few days and also give you grace to handle the days ahead. You will be special grandparents to those grandchildren.....you will be able to assist others who go through this same ordeal, and you will be blessed for it. I remember our sitting across from each other last week at Woodlands--you with Bruce and I with my husband. You came over and spoke to me and asked if I remembered you. We spoke for a few more moments and then we quietly returned to our task of comforting those we love. I pray now that you find the same comfort I know you gave to your son. I will always remember the love on your face as you held your son's hand. I know you will find peace soon knowing that God is now holding Bruce's hand for you.
