REGARDING:
"how is it that cars seem to always “stall” out on the tracks?"

Cars seldom stall out on the tracks. However, when they do, it makes the news.

David for avoiding being hit by trains

How on earth does a person get hit by a train? I live over 5 miles away from the tracks in Brewton and I can hear each and every train that passes. Even if a person is wearing headphones and listening to music as loud as possible I still think you could "feel" the ground vibrating under your feet. I hope this guy will be ok, but I think I would find an alternative route to do my walking.

On another note, how is it that cars seem to always "stall" out on the tracks? Do train tracks have electricity or magnetism running through them to cause cars to just stop? Not being sarcastic, just wondering if anyone knows or has any theories on that one. Personally I see no reason for anyone to get hit by a train either walking or driving in a car.

I have never understood this either!

I grew up by train tracks and you hear and feel those things coming
for a long while on the ground.

I would still like to know how the cop on the ground hunting got
run over by one also up here?

Unless you are deaf, how can you not get out of the way of a train, it's not like they sneak up on you?
