Trish maybe if you would reread my first post... I'm the one that made the comment about the large number of absentee ballots being requested. Oh by the way I said..."the talk is.."! Anyway, if you have been around in the city then you know the talk and you would know I'm not off base here. This has been going on for along time, election after election. The supervisor of election has been informed in previous elections but it appears that he chooses to look over the absentee ballot issue along with other inconsistencies.
Oh thanks for the number, but I have it.

You know what gets me... Is that elections should be handled with integrity & honest and that IS the job of the supervisor of the elections.

Ok, I have read this article three times. Where does it give the number of absentee ballots requested?

Century girl: "Talk is a very large number" Whose talk? Was the supervisor of elections called and asked how many absentee's were sent out? And who said that 1/3 of the registered voters voted on absentees? If you want me to take you seriously then name the source of the information. Anything can sound strange when you make up figures or just listen to gossip.

595-3900 is the phone for Supervisor of Elections.

This is not unusual for a Century City Election. This has been going on for a long time and until the state does something about the way absentee ballots are handled there will never be a fair election in Century. Anytime you have over a hundred absentee ballots and certain peoples candidates get 3/4 or more ever election then i think something needs to be done. I realize everyone should get to vote if they are registered but it should be a family member or someone with their power of attorney to assist them, not just anyone that wants to get to vote more than once. What a shame that some elderly people are fooled by this type of people.

many like to vote and get it over with. Otherwise they might get distracted and forget to vote. Personally, I like wait to the last minute and then vote. That way if I decide to change my mind (such as it is), I still can.

Talk is a very large number of absentee ballots have been requested... Isn't this odd for such a small town... Here we go again...
Makes one wonder., when over 1/3 of the registered voters have supposedly requested sn absentee ballot... Sounds Strange!
