Let me correct myself, Chuck went to Faulkner State not Troy State and then went on to the University of Georgia. He was a first round draft pick by the NY Mets in 1974. His first minor league season was 1977 with Utica, a minor league division of the Toronto Blue Jays. He won 7 and lost 1 with an era of 2.08. He ended his career in 1983 with a 6 win and 3 loss record with an Atlanta Braves minor league team.

Congratulation to Nat (Bucky) Showalter. It's great to see these guys there to celebrate this milestone with him. What would have made this even better if Chuck Fore could have been there. Chuck was a pitcher for Flomaton from little league thru high school and received a scholarship to Troy State. From what I was told, rotators cup prevented Chuck from moving on with his career. I was a classmate with Chuck Fore and Ronnie Wedgeworth and I can tell you that when Nat Showalter went to the mound for Century and Chuck Fore went to the mound for Flomaton you would wonder if anyone would get a hit, let alone a run. If anybody reads this that has Chucks phone number or e-mail address please contact him and give him the link to this website. I wouldn't want him to miss this. I lost his e-mail address a couple of years ago when my e-mail account was stolen during an internet scam.
