Be careful what you wish for. They just put gates up on the crossing at Old Atmore Road and Hwy 31. The dog gone things stay down with lights flashing about have the time with no train any where in site. But I’d rather stop with no train coming many many times than go ahead with a train coming once….

Wish they would put cross gates up. Every 5-7 months there is a wreck there.

Dave you are so right trains can not swerve and cannot stop quick either I work for the railroad and have had plenty close calls if people would also realize what the fine is for going around them gates they wouldnt do it I think in florida it is up too a 500 dollar fine so people need to think about themselves and there family people are just in too much of a hurry

Sure wish truck and car drivers would realize that they can’t out-run the trains, and in the end they will be the losers. It’s just a miracle that this driver wasn’t seriously hurt or killed.
