TO CHRISTINA:

To honestly,
Your comment, completely unnecessary. Absolutely anyone of any age can get in a wreck. Teens are targeted to much for wrecks. Drunk drivers, older aged drivers, drivers with bad sight, and many other “named” drivers can cause an accident, not just teens. Even a terrific driver could cause an accident and put others lives in danger as you say. At 15 I had just got my permit and was driving with my mother when an old lady rear-ended my mothers car which held me, my mother, my two sisters, my brother, and one of my close friends. Were our lives not in danger because of this woman? Of course they were. Was it a teenager who caused the accident, not at all. So I think before you go sterio-typing others you should look and be open to every view.

ONCE AGAIN LIKE I SAID AT 16 YOU ARE NOT READY TO BE ALONE ON THE ROAD. AND YOU ARE RIGHT ANYONE CAN HAVE A ACCIDENT BUT I THINK THE YOUNGER GENERATION AND REALLY OLD GENERATION IS AT TARGET. MY OPINION MY VOICE.

REGARDING:
“Everyone should be saying positive things.. He is only 16 and was hit by a trucker… if it was his fault who cares "

Why should everybody say positive things?

Isn't complaining about people not saying positive things a negative thing? There you go putting out negative vibrations.

He was hit by a trucker because he misjudged distances, traction or acceleration, me not know, but he misjudged. Is misjudgment a positive thing?

Okay, here's a positive thing:
It is surely good the trucker was able to not kill the kid.
It is a mighty good thing the car did not hit any other people while fish-tailing down the road
It is surely a good thing the trucker was not killed while trying to NOT kill the kid who pulled out in front of him.
It is surely a good thing nobody else was killed when the event happened.

Is that enough positive things?

You ask who cares if it was his fault. I don't really care because nobody I know or love was endangered by his actions. Are you saying the ones who were endangered should say, "Well, he was young so it doesn’t matter."?

I imagine his parents care because it is going to cost them and might have cost them the child they love.

I imagine the driver cares because it may well have given him a nightmare or two--with more to come for years ahead. I know of people who were not at fault in accidents but are too traumatized to drive.

These things happen but why insist people not discuss ways to reduce their occurrence, causes and effects?

David for living drivers
and driving so as to keep it that way

OMG! Just because it didn't have a v8 engine doesn't mean its not a sports car. Good driver hey? Did u not read the story where he was ticketed for reckless driving? No one at age 16 is a good driver...

"I think you should get your permit at 15 and liscense at 17 not 16. At 16 you are nowhere near ready to be alone on the road but to put others lives in danger."

I saw this after it happened on my way home yesterday. Coming up from downtown, all you could see was the undercarriage of the car.

luvinoki - I am a Gator fan too...I guess people didn't pick up the irony in the fact that Gainesville ALSO has an Archer Road, hence the coincidence you were trying to point out. LOL

So glad that everyone is ok.

I'll say it again,
teenager + sports car = extreme lack of judgement
(not on the part of the kid)
