Northview should have one made up by the teachers. Each has their own syllabus, so why not compile all those items on a list. I hate not having whatever they wish for, and then it takes me a longer time than for others to get it. Money is tight, I wish we would go ahead and know ahead of time, so we could all be prepared versus speech after speech from teachers telling you don't come to class unprepared. That helps no one. - Just an experience from a student.

As a husband of a teacher, I can tell you why they ask parents to supply items for the kids. The district supplies very little for the classrooms. They get very little copy paper, pencils, pens, etc..

The teachers usually foots the bill for all the costs. This can add up after time. So please. If you can afford it, please help your kids teacher out. E-mail them, ask if they need anything or any help?

The list is generic, hopefully your child should get a list from each of his/her class of items they will need. If you do not see it or know of one. Ask your child. The 1st few days are hectic and kids forget about it.

Just a bit of advice from a poor hubby of a Proud Teacher!
