The price of gas is always at least 20 cents lower when I cross the state line, and back in the spring I learned that everytime I crossed another state line the price dropped with prices at my destination in New Jersey being $2.24 (and that was at a full service gas station) and prices in the Pensacola area averaging $2.68. I was curious about the broad price ranges in gas prices and when I got home I did a little research and found that Bob Martinez made the state gas tax annual increase permanent just before he left office....and all we got was a state blanketed in asphalt. ;) I paid $2.37 per gallon in Brewton yesterday.
