I considered that. But we typically don’t identify victims by name. And the report contains K’s name, exact address, employer, work and school history, height, weight, etc (as does every public record report, except on minors). I don’t think that would serve K very well.

Don’t blame william.
He always gets his facts straight to the best of his ability and that
is by going by public info.

Once you call the law or someone else does…. it’s out of your hands.

One of my uncles got into trouble once and it was all over town.
No one knew he was decorated war hero from vietnam who recieved
a brain injury during the service of his country.

My mother never said a word and it was her favorite little brother.
She said, “Thats ok girls it looks bad and they don;t know him like we do,
and we have too much to do to help him to be concerned about
what other may think.:

When things hit the news and it’s personnal it’s hard to take right
or wrong.
Try throwing yourself into what your girl needs now and get off the
computer news.
Thats my best advice

We would certainly want to correct any mistakes, and I emailed you asking to point out which half of the story is wrong.. I’ve reviewed the story again and found nothing wrong compared to the report. It’s a fairly lengthy report detailing the events, and it does become very difficult to follow which person is doing/saying what. Please detail your concerns to news@northescambia.com

I understand that, however if you would have read the report more thoroughly you would have gotten your facts straight and written a truthful article. This is not what really happened. How would you feel if this happened to you and I wrote about it and was wrong in how I explained as to what happened? You weren’t there, this article is wrong.

It accurately reflects what is in the arrest report.

Unfortunately, your personal lives become public when the Sheriff’s Office becomes involved. It’s all public record.

For one this article is poorly written and more than half of it is not true. This is not what really happened. It upsets me that most people are commenting on something they know nothing about. There is much more to life than to be sticking your nose into someone else’s business and making false accusations. This is not the outcome we wanted at all. We are highly upset this website decided to write about our personal lives without consent, and so poorly written as I said before. Their numerous inaccuracies and blatant omissions about what happened are egregious at best and criminal at worst.

To anonymous: Just giving an example of what can constitute assault…..which can also include spitting on a person….I looked it up in my Funk & Wagnall…..
In some US jurisdictions assault may refer only to the threat of violence….

I doubt very much if these parents just called the police for no good reason.
I’m sure they know more about this girl and the situation than you do.

This girl is 28 not 12.
Cool down when they are threatening the lives of every one is not an
option, and she was agitated under neath of a hors so it became a
matter of safety.

Even at the police station she had to be pepper sprayed.
Obviously she is delusional from drugs or mental problems.
They were unable to control her and they called who they were
suppose to before this situation escalated.

I don’t think the first choice of any parent has ever been to just
pick up the phone and call the law.

I hope what ever this problem was this young girl gets the help
she needs and the whole family gets counseling and can come
together as a family should.

For me the best comment is the one who says that she should have been left alone to cool down. It seems that she was depressed and upset before the incident. She was asked to do something and disagreed. Then she was forced to do it. That caused her to break and live near the edge. She probably is on the edge, having difficulty coping. Provide her with support. The father can say that he won’t be a witness as could the other family members. That would result in the case being abandoned through lack of evidence.

Then more support understanding and gentleness to find out what is upsetting this person. That must be more sensible than calling the police. Don’t get involved with the police unless you really have to.
