I attended the concert.First time in my life I have been in the middle of 35,000 people ,don’t care to do it again.The tickets on line were gone in 15 minutes. The kicker was you could not bring your own bottles of water or gatorade which meant a lot of thrown away stuff.Nor could you bring any can which might be flammable with a cigarrette light,no chairs or umbrellas.The reason? to keep people from throwing those things at the stage..I can’t imagine…to their credit free water was passed out all day until the concert was over.

Bill, I know Jimmy Buffett has made that comment before, but the only mention of blame was in a song, and he said it is all BP fault. He did not show is political colors during his concert. He is smart enough to know it was not the time and place to do that.

Who cares? He just wants to blame the oil spill on the previous administration, instead of on BP’s blatant safety violations. What a waste of oil to go to this concert.

I wonder how people got ANY tickets…all i heard from a bunch of people was….when we went to refresh the page, the tickets were gone. To make this summer feasable, they should sechdule concerts every week end, even if they aren’t on the beach…just being in the area for the week end would be good for the economy. They could do some sort of music fest for the whole weekend…jus an idea….

Great Concert, Great Man. Would not have been as good with kenny Chesney and Chicken fried. They just don’t play beach music like Jimmy.

Jimmy buffett has a lot more to bring to the table than you obvisuly!He’s not “anti-God”.I went to the concert and there was no “anti-God” words or pharses in there!Yes he does sing bout drinkin but if you think bout it just bout every song that country singers sings is talking bout drinkin!Good gosh open your mind up.Jus because people don’t think the way you do don’t mean that they are”ant-God”so just get over yourslef and thank Jimmy buffett for bringin so many people to the Gulf Coast for the bussiness!By the way the concert was awesome!!!!!

The concert was awesome!! I did not hear or see any anti-God coming from his music. Why do you have to bring it up. It was a concert, and if you did not want to go, then why criticize the man for trying to do something good for the area? I am a Christian!! but I don’t wear on my sleeve or shoulders!! or condemn other for their belief or non-beliefs.

So Carolyn, if someone doesn’t share your religious views they have nothing to bring to the table? With attitudes like this it’s no wonder people have such a hard time getting along with each other. Please open your mind a bit.
