I don’t understand where all of the conspiracy folks are going with this one, burn permits have been around for many years!! I too will be glad when President Obama leaves office, if for no other reason so people will have a new person fuss about. Notice that I did capitalize his name, because no matter how much we dislike him or what he does, he is our President. As much as I disliked George Bush, and disliked how he was placed into office, I still would not disrespect the leader of the Greatest Nation in the World, refusing to capitalize his name. I am not trying to insult the person that wrote that comment, just voicing my opinion, and not hiding my name.

This class is not to teach you how to burn leaves in your front yard, you idiots! It’s a class designed to teach one how to safely burn a pile. A pile is an amount of debris or wood left over after landclearing or pulpwooding and is usually 15 feet high and 20 to 30 feet around. Take off the tinfoil hats…..the government isnt always out to get you.

It didnt take $50.00 for me to go through Brownies and Girl Scouts,
and over the many years as a leader I taught many girls how to make a camp fire safely and how to control and put it out, Come on for gosh sakes, get right, Apparently, the Div. of Forestry has the same opinion of us, that we are dense, rich socialists who need to be led around by the hand and do not have the good sense to realize we are being taken. Just like the rest of our government.

What needs to be certified is the people connected with this fiasco. This is a typical example of what is wrong with our Govt today. Anyone that signs up and pays for this should be committed, it is just another way for the people on the taxpayer coffers to try and make themselves worthy in a time of extreme budget cuts.

I agree with previous comments. What the heck is this country coming to when you need a permit to burn some trash. How does something so asinine even get voted into law?? George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would roll over in their graves if they knew the state of this country now days.

THIS IS NOT AMERICA ANYMORE!!! At least not the one described in The Constitution of the country I used to live in. Next, we’ll need a permit, and have to pay, to go to the john. REALLY!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an Asinine bunch of stupidity! There is hope for ignorance, and for medical conditions, but, not for stupidity! Why don’t we just all pool our money, and let the government dole it out. IF there is any left over after they take what they want for themselves!

I figured this would be a safety issue and they would want more people to participate and be more involved, not to limit the number and then cut back more by charging $50.

I need to burn and want to know how to do it safely, but $50 is ahuge amount of money to me.

Since taxes go partly towards the fire dept, shouldn’t it be covered some how?
