Buck,

I have kept up with your career since I moved to Texas and have been very proud of what you have accomplished! Especially excited to see you with the Texas Rangers. I graduated from Century High School in 1977 and my brother Johnny Jones was in Melanie's class. My brother Ricky Jones is still in Century and has two sons very active in sports and play at Showalter Park as well as my sister, Dina. Your Dad was my principal at Carver - and he was a dear! You look a lot like him! Best of luck with the Orioles!

Way to go Big Bro! I'm happy if you are. Nothing like someone respectable stepping up when someone is struggling and discouraged-- whether its a last place baseball team that once were champions, or a town, business, school, individuals, or even a church going through a long search for a pastor, etc. It feels good when someone recognizes potential and is willing to put their reputation on the line for you and work with you. I know managing a MLB team has its perks, but I also know it has its head and heartaches, too. I know you remember well the lessons you learned at Century High and Elementary School and Carver Middle School thru your teachers, friends, and especially your principal, aka dad, because I've heard you telling them and giving your small town credit. Thanks for making the fish in a small pond look good.
