Where does the $30.00 paid for the food go to... back to the AFM to buy more food or the host site?
The article said it would be "put in the hands of those in need for free". Does someone need to sponsor a family or how do those in need get it for free?

You Pay for the food when you order. Poarch Creek Tribal takes cash and food stamps too, i think. Then on distribution day, which is usually the last Saturday of the month, you take your box and/or ice chest and go pick up your food. Some of the food is non-perishable, but some is frozen. It"s an early morning distribution there, and they get it done fast. So don't be late. You get enough food for about a week of balanced meals, and you are not limited to 1 order. This program helped us through some tough times.

Did the article really mean there are 4700 known homeless people in Santa Rosa County? That is about one out of every 10 people. Can that be right??

"Buy a box of food for $30 dollars and give it to a family that you know is in need or give it your local church for distribution. "

This is a great idea! I know just who this would work for.

Elderly people need attention to nutrition.

I have bought these boxes on many occations and NEVER been disappointed! You get way more food for $30 than you would at the over priced Piggly Wiggly in Century! And the good thing is you don't have to meet any particular requirements. If you want to order you can, no applications to fill out!

Suggestion: I have done this and it is such a blessing to the giver not only to those that recieve.
Buy a box of food for $30 dollars and give it to a family that you know is in need or give it your local church for distribution. The box contains about 70 dollars worth of food.
