They were. I just added that to the story. I think they offer assistance for a just a few days.

Usually the Red Cross is called immediately, either by the fire dept. or the police. Hopefully they were and are helping out with temporary housing and Wal-Mart vouchers, etc. But this family will need a new place to call home and all the furnishings, kitchen and bath items, clothes, food . . . .and the list goes on and on!! Hopefully the people and the churches of the community will step forward and help.

The story is now updated with donation information. Here it is again:

Donations of clothing and household items for the family are being accepted at the First Baptist Church of Cantonment at 118 Morris Avenue Monday-Friday from 8-4:30, except 12-2 for lunch.. (No furniture donations, please.) The adult female wears a size 6. There are three boys who wear sizes 10-12, 8-10 and 3T-4T.

Having all your stuff toasted and badly smoke damaged is almost worse than having it all just burn up… what an awful mess. Hope the community comes together to help them.

And Mom~of~2….. it’d even be nicer to have a place where she wouldn’t have to sleep on the roof….

thank god no one was in the home this happened.this community needs to help this mom out so she can get back on her feet again..maybe the landlord she rented this trailor from can put her in another place so she’d have a roof under her head with them 3 young children?

I do know no one was home at the time of the fire, thank goodness.
She has 3 boys ages 3, 9 and 10
The mom wears a size 8 pants and medium shirt.
