I want to say thank you Mrs. Promery for being such a good Principal and enjoy your retirement!! Welcome Mrs. Hall, we look forward to working with you. Also, if I am correct, I think Mrs. Hall is Mrs. Perry's (Principal at EW) sister. So if sister is like sister we will have another good prinicpal.

REGARDING:
"Do you folks actually believe that public education is better now than before these people became “educators”?"

Do you mean as opposed to being teachers? Or are there specific people who have become educators who you think are pulling down public education?

They're learning things in school now which they never learned before because nobody knew them back when we were students.

And some aren't learning because they don't care, have made up their minds not to learn or are being distracted by that person of the other sex too close to them. I remember it made it hard for me to concentrate waaaay back then--not that I have ever griped about the mini-skirts or the low cut dresses, just that they were extremely distracting. There's no telling how much more I might have learned--academically--had it not been for those twin distractions, but overcoming hardships is part of education, too.

Education has many flaws, owing to there being so many flawed humans in the system, but I'm not ready to abandon it yet in favor of perpetual intentional ignorance.

Do you folks actually believe that public education is better now than before these people became "educators"? If so, keep praising them and being part of the problem. If not, let's be realistic and start standing up for the change and reform the is necessary to save education for our kids and grandkids.

The parents that are making all the rude remarks really do not know Mrs. P. She is a very caring person. She loves all of her students. I have been blessed to have her in my life for 13 years. She is such a caring person. She has did many things for your children. She has always stayed in the back ground and let others take the credit. I understand that Mrs. Hall is a lot like Mrs.P. We will be blsssed to have her at Bratt. as we did Mrs. P.

To Mark. You are right on one thing and that is parents are not hired to run the schools. They usually volunteer their time to help the teachers at Bratt and other schools. Ask the teachers how much help that is to them Mark? They should have their voices heard in this country just like everyone else. The worst thing that ever happened in this country to me was that parents and teachers lost control of the students. That is one reason that the kids don't have any respect for themselves or anyone else. People like you are the ones that have made this country so screwed up. Leave it all to someone else to make changes that are good for families. We have left it for the politic correct dummies to make our choices for us. I for one believe that I am going to be heard and my voice and vote counts. As for as the principal they are not always so sweet and they can be wrong. But, if we leave it up to other people to make our choices for us then who cares Mark? By the way I am being nice as I can be.

To Mark: PTA stands for PARENTS' & TEACHERS' ASSOCIATION. The P does not stand for PRINCIPAL. Parents are supposed to be allowed to make decisions concerning PTA. Know what you are talking about or at lease read the comment you are bashing before you start blabbing, please.

I don't know what your problem is, I loved Mrs. Cox! She was such a nice lady, and she always let us do something fun at the end of the year! I remember her getting a pie to the face at least three times. She was a lot of fun.
