I am a United States Marine stationed over on the west coast, originally from Georgia, and spent a lot of time growing up on the panhandle of Florida. I had planned on moving to the panhandle after I got out of the corps. I was going to open up a charter fishing service, and that was going to be my livlihood, since i spent so much time growing up there and know the "hotspots". But I guess now I should probably stay in the corps. This is plain rediculous. Just like the rest of you, I'm in a state of denial and avoidance. I won't talk about my fear that water spouts or hurricanes might deposit that oil via rain onto our properties, farms, lakes and rivers, not to mention wild areas. No, I won't discuss that...it's too horrible. I also won't complain about our country's lack of sufficient support for technologies that would get us off our addiction to oil. No. No comment.
