REGARDING:
"David forgets that from a biological perspective, humans are classified as animals. Primates to be specific."

Nope, I didn't forget. I'm just not talking from a biological perspective but from a human one. I understand that in the biological perspective, all living things are members of the five or six kingdoms (biologists like to argue the numbers and who goes where). All well and good if I were going down that path here.

In the human way of thinking, humans are more important than animals and we tend to make the distinction. Folks have called them dumb animals since others don't speak, or lower animals since they aren't as high in the theological pecking order (other than for Hindus and PETA types).

AND

"My animals (kids and dogs) have been taught restraint and require no fences or bars to protect them. However there could come a time when physical restraint will become necessary, but most likely as a measure to protect them from the human animal David regards as more important."

So even if you regard your dogs as more important than a mere human, perhaps we could find a PALACE for him if only to protect your dogs. As a side benefit, it might protect those he is threatening to shoot or would beat, maybe even him, not that seems to matter to you.

David wanting to keep Just's dogs safe
and kids too, I guess--if it matters

Regarding DHG's comments:
A man is more important than an animal, yet you put a fence up to protect cows and dogs and to protect the people they might endanger if they ranged freely.

David forgets that from a biological perspective, humans are classified as animals. Primates to be specific.

With this in mind regarding fences for protection, some animals, human and domesticated, can be taught to respect boundries and do not need fences or bars.

Whereas others require fences, bars or restraint to protect them from harming themselves or others.

My animals (kids and dogs) have been taught restraint and require no fences or bars to protect them. However there could come a time when physical restraint will become necessary, but most likely as a measure to protect them from the human animal David regards as more important.

This man, if mentally ill, needs the help of Lakeview Center or the WFCCC in Milton. I do not believe he needs to be on the streets. I think most of us are in agreement that this man needs help! I pray the judge finally determines this and sends him fora mental evaluation!

REGARDING:
"What a petty bunch of charges. battery-dismissed, disorderly conduct, littering? For goodness sakes, I would think that our fearless, brave sheriff’s deputies could find someone more threatening and dangerous to chase after."

". . . after Newton allegedly threatened to shoot someone. He did not produce a weapon during the incident."

Yep, they're just picking on him.

REGARDING:
"WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO PUT THIS MAN IN JAIL? He is mentally ill and would learn nothing from being in jail. Mentally ill people don’t know what is good for them. "

Perhaps we could call it a PALACE?

If the name is all that worries you, that should fix your problem.

A man is more important than an animal, yet you put a fence up to protect cows and dogs and to protect the people they might endanger if they ranged freely. You don’t expect to teach the animals to stay out of the path of oncoming traffic or not to gore those who irritate them. You deal with what you have, not what you wish you had.

I like the idea of putting him up in a PALACE across from Milton High School. I'm sure they appreciate all the other royalty already across from them.

If he is indeed mentally ill, then there are facilities for people like him.
Who knows,.................the next story we read about him could be that he has killed someone.

I wasnt there to say its true but with his record no one can say but i can say what happen to the three strike for out... Im not saying he needs jail time im say he need to be put in a home so he can be watched closely so he dont hurt himself or anyone. Dont completely isolate him. That could make it worse but with a little help an protection everyone will be safe

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO PUT THIS MAN IN JAIL? He is mentally ill and would learn nothing from being in jail. Mentally ill people don't know what is good for them. He gets a check every month, goes and cashes it and them the trouble starts. People in century know he gets an SSI check- they also know he wants friends and to be normal and have a good time, so they take advantage of him and that's when trouble comes about. Also people in century may say hes doing this or that and it doesn't have to even be true, to put him in jail and rack up all kinds of court costs he can't pay. SSI only gives you so much money and on that money he has to live... SO putting him in jail is a lost cause and is wrong. He needs to be placed in a group home or better a mental institute. There is one in Milton - across from Milton High school. Why don't the people that say they want to help actually try to and as far as the authorities- actually do something good to help, not just put someone in jail.....
