Wish I could've been there, Randy. It was a pleasure to have served with you on the Alabama side of the line all those years ago. Best wishes.

I met Murph about twenty five years ago in Esc. Al. at one AM on a Sunday morning while returning home from racing at Flomaton raceway. On Chavers Creek road a gentleman had decided to take a nap parked in the middle of the road, I couldn't wake him so I called for assistance. Murph came. He aroused the gentleman who then became very beligerant and ugly then decided he was not going to exit the vehicle as Murph requested, to the point of intwining his arms in the steering wheel of the vehicle....... Big mistake,,, after requesting very nicely Deputy Murph gently helped him turn the steering wheel loose and he landed face down on the pavement, feeling no pain of course,,,, until the next day maybe.
Congratulations Murph, I hope you live to be a hundred and enjoy every minute.

Papa Murph,

I have to admit, retirement sure does look good on you! We miss you already at the CU. Sadly for us, no more "Murph Fridays" to look forward to. I never knew what you would have in store for us each time we saw you. One thing for sure, it was always enjoyable! (Although, now I don't have to look over my shoulder quite as often.)
Be good to Mary and enjoy your free time together. Don't forget, to spread a little "Sunshine" in our direction once in a while.

Murph,
u were very blessed to make it to retirement. alot of officers upon being hired have the same ambitions, but some tragic reason never make it. I hope that you and your wife enjoy your retiement may you both be blessed
