Mrs. Barnes I thought you would see my post I really like that you did because then I would have to tell you at school and I do admit that I am a little lazy but I am glad that you are ok because if you were hurt very bad then I wold have been really sad.I have to admit that you are my favorite teacher in the whole wide world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Mrs. Barnes man it looks like that really hurt but when you came to school you said that you were ok. I think I will see you at the ballpark depends on if I go and about today I really did not like the tests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

I am glad that Pam is okay, for her sake and her families sake. However, what if YOU were involved in the accident and the person that hit you or tore up your property was not covered with insurance ? Who would be responsible for your medical costs ? Who would you turn to, to replace what was torn up in your yard? I have not seen mention of that. Costs/Premiums for those of us who are carrying vehicle insurance are eating the cost of those in accidents that do not carry vehicle insurance. The cost of uninsured motorists has to trickle down to someone. I have full coverage on a few vehicles and Law Required insurance on 2 others…I was unemployed and kept my lights on, water on, garbage picked up and my insurance paid. You find a way to keep what you need up to date. Vehicle is no laughing matter when you could be endangering someone else because of your poor decisions! Not saying is a bad person, I do not know her, BUT, she did make a poor decision to drive a PUBLIC hwy with no insurance…again justmy2cents!

Ms. Pam!! Thank God you’re ok. And to those speaking badly about the insurance card, come on people think before you bash someone. AS bad as this accident was it, is understandable that she couldn’t find it in a rattled state. How many of us could think clear enough after an accident like this to find a small insurance card in a truck turned upside down? And if nothing else give someone the benefit of doubt, be christian and not assumed the negative right off the bat. Sometimes we must trust in people more than we do a few sentences jotted down about the accident. Again, thank the good lord that Ms. Pam is alive and safe, thats what matters above all else.

Not sure what the reference here is, but *all* of the facts in the FHP release are in the story, with the exception of it was *not* alcohol related. We don't usually mention that unless it is a crash that is alcohol related. We are only as accurate as the information provided by FHP.

To all of you negative people, Pam is a very responsible person. None of us know the actual circumstances surrounding this accident or her personal situation. As good as they are, NE.com occasionally may post a story without all of the facts. Anyone viewing that picture should be thankful the driver made it through with no injuries.

I am so thankful that my friend Pam is safe. She is a WONDERFUL person. I wish all these “holier than thou” people who are so quick to judge would SHUT UP!!!

You know. I hope that none of the negative people here ever have anything like this happen to them. It is surely easy to jump in there and judge someone elses mistakes but if you look at your own life I bet you have your own mistakes you could be taking care of. The important thing is the Lord spared her life in this accident and he did it for a purpose. The insurance issue does not affect anyone else except Mrs. Barnes so as far as I see it everyone should keep their judgemental words to a minimum. It is not for us to judge this situation.

Folk, the FHP does not cite for “Not” having insurance. A citation issued would have been for “Failure to maintain proof of insurance coverage”. This means that at the time a person came into contact with law enforcement, in this case an accident, that they were unable to show law enforcement the required insurance card or policy that we are to maintain in our vehicles. This could be due to the fact that she could not retrieve it from the glove box at the time of this crash due to the destruction of the vehicle or because she did not have it in her purse. AT ANY RATE, the citation that is given allows the person a set amount of time to retrieve proof of the minimum insurance coverage required by the state and provide this proof to the clerk of court. If provided within the required time frame, the citation is dismissed. I’m sure after looking at the damage to the vehicle that no one would dispute that it is plausable that she did have insurance but was simply unable to provide documentation at the exact time of the accident.

We sure are quick to judgement these days.

While I agree with the sentiment when it comes to insurance, the problem is that many of us are struggling to keep our utilities. We honestly CAN’T afford insurance. I can’t. Mine lapsed yesterday and I can’t renew it. I am disabled and there is no other transportation available for my children and me. What are we to do? If I don’t drive, they can’t go to the doctor. For that matter, neither can I. I can’t get any agencies to help us with the electric bill, much less insurance. If you have any better ideas, I’m listening.
