First, the fire fighters from all stations did an excellent job. They responded quickly especially for the location of the trailer. They also contained the fire to just around the trailer and prevented the other homes or woods from catching on fire.

FYI the resident was not using the space heater but testing it. Trying to determine whether to trash it or pack it. This was a horrific accident, but I thank God that they or their pets were not hurt.

It is still cool first thing in the morning, especially, if an elderly person. My heart goes out to them as they lost everything.

Thank God no one was injured. My prayers are with them.

I am so glad that everyone escaped without injuries, and am so sorry for this families loss of their home… Thanks to all the firefighters we have out there that works this very dangerous job…

You know it seems to me that the north end needs at least 2 fire stations with full time county employees, one at Cantonement and one at Molino. I’ve heard in the past that a mobile home burns from spark to finish in under 7 minutes. There are so many devastating home fires and serious auto accidents along the 29 corridor there really should be full time fire houses.
