Thank you Beverly, for sharing that.

You all cannot be blamed if you did not know of his medical condition. When my friend and I chatted with Mr. Carroll, he carried on a very intelligent conversation about relatives my friend and he might have in common. My friend was as shocked as I to learn he had dementia. I saw no sign of such when we spoke, and I am an RN (retired), have a dad and a friend who had Alzheimer's, and have attended an Alzheimer's support group for the past few years, and still do sometimes. I am glad he will still be there. He has a very kind manner, and seems so very peaceful. He made me feel at ease. My friend and I thought he was delightful. He still is, I am sure.

Our prayers were answered and we are "thankful" to all who particiapted in the search for Mr. Clyde. Mr. Clyde has been employed with Faith Chapel Funeral Home since April 2006 and not until Friday did we at Faith Chapel know he had any type of medical condition. We would never have placed him in the capacity of driving a vehicle on a funeral service had we have known of his medical condition. We would not have put him or any one else in danger of harming themselves or someone else. Mr. Clyde is the #1 Greeter on the front door, there is not hardly a person that comes through the doors he doesn't know, and always greets them with a smile. He is always walking around with a smile on his face, never complains and always asking what he can do. He will have a job as long as he wants or as long as his health will allow him. We love having Mr. Clyde with us and he is definantly a part of the Faith Chapel Family.

To Thinker,

I also carry a jacket and water everywhere I go now. Even in the spring. It was warm the day we went on the river. It sure wasn't warm that night. It was on Mothers Day Eve, the year that plane went down in Escambia Bay when we went out on that boat, ran out of gas and broke the only paddle on the boat. We had to tie onto some willows just as darkness fell. Go prepared!

Thank You, God.

Thank you prayer team and all others who prayed. Thank you North Escambia for posting the story, the picture and the updates. Thank you, Amber, Michelle and Jim. Thank you Deputy Lambert.

Poor Mr. Carroll. I am so sorry if you were cold. My family and I were stranded on the Escambia River many years ago, and shook like folks in seizure, all night long. If your muscles are sore, I pray God heals them quickly. But, perhaps He just kept you warm. I prayed he would, and then received an email from someone that prayed the same thing I did.... for you to be kept safe and warm. There two agreed, so.......

I just really, really thank God that you are home safely. I know your loved ones are keeping you warm.
