It starts at home….
It goes forever….
YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE, WHAT THEY
ARE DOING, AND WHO THEY ARE WITH.

Granted when they are grown you kick them out and make them fly.
If you are really good at your job they will fly high like an eagle and
make you proud..

Even a bird knows when to kick their young out of the nest.

But they are yours and they will remain yours forever more.
PAY ATTENTION, they need your advice and wisdom till the
day you DIE!

In this particular situation, most of the “adults in charge” of these teenagers truly don’t care where their children are or what they are doing. In fact, I would venture to say that some of those “adults” were probably there with them drinking.

No, you can’t watch your teenagers 24/7, and, yes, they do need to be taught values, morals, and principles–beginning at home. Which takes me back to my original thought–those “adults in charge.”

It doesn’t matter if you do know where your children are, they are going to do all of the things mentioned above if and when they get ready…..and they will and can do them all, right under your roof and nose…..they need to be taught right from wrong and the dangers of doing these things when they are young

“do YOU know where your children are??”….that was a timely announcement that was broadcast on local television around 11 pm when i was young…..maybe some parents need to be reminded to keep up with their kids, as its THE PARENTS that will HAVE to assume (some of) the financial downfall that is bound to happen when underaged “children” drink and then, go on to make life changing decisions..(MVA, PREGNANCIES, CRIME,DRUG USE- just to name a few things off the top of my head)

I would agree with angi that no one under 21 should be allowed in bars. too much temptation for the young ones. and like she said, someone else can get the drinks for them. there was a reason the drinking age was raised to 21 from 18. not that we were more mature back then. I just don’t think it should be that easy for under age people to get booze.

From what i remember, they were denied the new license for quite a long period of time, but were finally given it back…who made the decision to give it back to them? the council??? they KNOW of the problems in that neighborhood with these bars, especially this one…oh well, they get what they reap, they gave it back to them, so they basically gave the underage kids a place to go drink, they will be the next ones out drinking and drivin….
