my great grandparents came from the camden, al area in 1903. my great grandfather’s name was lindsey hanks, my grandfather’s name was joseph oliver hanks and of course my daddy’s name was oliver marshall hanks. someone went up the family tree and somewhere down the line we are kin to abe lincoln thru his mother nancy hanks. my sister named her son marshall after our daddy. we were very fortunate to have had the parents we had…..everything we ever needed in life to know ie…..life’s tough, sometimes all you have in life is useless without family and good friends and that love conquers all. if interested my brother attends a large hanks reunion every year. his name is michael marshall hanks. best wishes to all your hanks family. betsy

To the Hanks family: There have been many childhood memories playing at the old place while your mother did my moms hair. I loved ever second. Running playing in the dirty. My mon adored Miss Frances. I don’t know who were te pooriest. There were 5 of us and four of ya’ll. The lauhter and love still stays in my heart today of the wonderful kin folkd we saw on occasions.
