im really glad my cousin logan and my friends brittany mitch and brandon are okay, i never thought something like that would ever happen to my cousin and some of my good friends. thank the lord they are all okay. .its a miracle they all are okay. but pls keep logan in your payers. this accident could of been alot worse then what it was, but it just goes to show that god really was with all of them on this night.

I am Logan’s maternal grandmother. I live in Livingston,AL. I want to thank all of you concerned friends and acquaintenances for your deep concern and wishes for Logan’s complete recovery. Doctors are great with all their knowledge, but to say maybe 50-50 chance on his recovery is maybe a little less than they know. God is the Almighty Healer and as the Molino resident put it ,there was 6 people in the vehicle and the 6th One was our Almighty God. I was born and raised in Wildfork, on another road that was terrible during rain and floods. It was the next road over from Hammac road that connected Wallace road and Foshee road. My cousins and I walked the roads and I remember jumping the big holes in both roads. If it hasn’t been paved since then, 50 years plus, I can imagine the condition it must have been in. Again, I would like to please ask everyone to keep the prayers going up, not just for Logan, but for all the young teens who were envolved in this horrible accident. Thank all of you again. I am a freshman at NHS and I know almost everbody in the accident. I am so glad everyone of you are ok, and even though it was a horrible accident God was there. You may say there were 5 in the vehicle, but God was there…..I hope you all do ok.

Hammac road runs from County Road 40 or Wallace road to County road 8 or Foshee road. Leaving Barnett’s crossroads it is just before you get to the train tracks in Wallace. Hope this helps.
On a side note, this is one of the longest dirt roads in Escambia County Ala. It is also one of the worst and least maintained roads by the county. Currently it is in TERRIBLE shape after the rains three weeks ago and NOTHING has been done to fix it. The road looks like a dry riverbed after all of the flood waters flowed down and across it. What is even more disturbing is the small WOOD/TIMBER bridge near the north end. It has been leaning for over 20 years!!! I once saw the county road crew replacing a timber in it. I stopped and asked if they were going to replace the old bridge and the crew so no, the supervisors didn’t want to spend any money on it, just patch it. There are several houses on this road and it is well traveled during hunting season. It sad that these teens were injured, but based on the conditions of the road the county could be liable. A good blood sucking lawyer could get the medical bills paid!!

It IS just amazing what kind of communities we have. Why you say? Look at the prayers. Just look at the people praying for you. In need. They pray. I can tell you from the heart it’s nothing like knowing someone is praying. As my daughter says, “Moma just keep your faith”, GOD does know our needs.
I too am praying for this group of young people. Some I do know some I don’t but GOD does.
