Why do we need to throw it in Evers’ face? That doesn’t seem to make sense. If you understood how all of this happened – and I have been following this issue very closely – you would know that Evers may appear to be the man in charge because he sponsored the bill/proposal. And the only reason that he sponsored it is because he was the chair of the delegation. It is the duty of the chair to sponsor any proposals that come out of the delegation. THE ENTIRE DELEGATION is responsible, not just one person. And for the record, I don’t think Evers is the chair any longer. I think it is Clay Ford. So maybe you Oversight should throw it in Clay Ford’s face! How about that?

This is coming from someone who is informed, studies up on the issues and will be casting my vote for Evers for Senate.

Keep your eyes and ears open, they have used this same smoke screens in the past. Actively participate in YOUR GOVERNMENT, vote every time the polls are open. Let your voices be heard. Thanks you again William, for helping us educate ourselves.

Obviously, they saw that they weren’t going to be able to be in charge of everything and they don’t want to give up any of their “power”, so it’s now dead. I think they really thought that everyone would roll over and submit and are shocked by the opposition they encountered. Yahhhhhh! Stupid idea in the first place. Too many people voting for change, for the sake of change (with no clearly defined means), got us in a mell of a hess in this country! No way do I want to repeat that mistake on the local level! At least Wilson Robertson knows when he’s beaten!

I am very , very , happy with this news, I would like to thank William for giving us a voice with NorthEscambia.com. But this issuse , needs to die. We need to urge our county commissioners, that we do not want this, and it needs only to be brought up again, if there is a signed pettion, by 3/4 of the county wishing to go to this type of government. And given to the County Commissioners. We ( and a lot of us ) are tired of this issue. Now kill it. And let us all, let our C.C.s know that we do not wish to deal with this in 2012 , or when ever groups like EAFO want to force it on us. I will repeat. We do not wish to be ruled or governed by city of Pensacola. If I wanted to live in the city I would move there. Kill this movement and kill it now. VOTE NO ON ANY CONSOLIDATION WITH THE CITY OF PENSACOLA.

GREAT NEWS1 Now if they can all just get together and agree to this proposal it would be a real showing of solidarity. Hope it happens. Consolidation is not what the county needs. We benefit very little here in the north end but would have to pay for services NOT rendered.
