THANK YOU Papa J some needed to say that!!! At least my 3 kids are fed a GOOD meal at school. My two at EWMS loves the food, my one at Molino Park says the food is okay. My older ones just say he does not know any better because EWMS has the best food ever. And that is coming from a 11 and a 12 year old and picky eaters, so this mom is HAPPY!!!!

Ignorance must be bliss. Our school kitchens operate as commercial kitchens operate. Therefore, to provide proper equipment for our food service employees to provide meals for our children requires heavy duty commercial equipment. This, in turn, cost much more than the standard residential equipment cost since it is supposed to last for many years. The kitchen hood system at Ernest Ward was the original one installed in 1962 which no longer met current building and fire codes. Now, the school district can just ignore the needs of our schools and stock pile the tax dollars which does nothing for our kids or they can be spent to improve conditions for our kids who are the future of our world. So, sit back and think about your comments and get the facts before you write them and show your ignorance.

Yep, Kudo’s to those hard working people who feed our kids day in and day out. But $50k!!!! Seriously, why not go to Lowes or Home Depot and get one for 1/10 of the price.

I as well like to know the spending of tax dollars is going to our future. However, for 49,236.00 they could have bougt a couple of grills and had steak most of next year?

why have all of the school improvements become news on here. You guys always do a great job, but I am sorry this isn’t news. The school district properly using our tax dollars to do their jobs is just that their job! They are improving the conditions for our kids!

Kitchen work. Is back breaking work…To walk around the kitchen. prepare food. Serve food. Clean the kitchen. You might think it’s easy, anybody can do it.
Hey you know you can volunteer in the kitchen any time.
The menu, the food, the pepreration, the cooking, the serving, the cleaning, well you get the idea. It just all goes to your back and legs.
I salute you ladies for your jobs well done and anything to make it a little easier, get it.
You deserve it ten fold.
Thank you. AND about those volunteers,….. you proably won’t see them.
