While we still have time, a comittee needs to form in the heart of North Escambia and let’s pool our efforts into one mind and find that person who is really interested in our area,and elect that person as our County Commissioner. I cannot remember one who has served in that capacity in my lifetime that I can say served this area well. It’s all about politics and who is in whose grasp. The time has come when it is not busines as usual,they need to know we are fed up with the whole”cockeyed mess”.

I guess if you want more, then consolidation of the county government is just what you need. They have taken away all that has been mention, so they can give it back for your vote on consolidation of gov’t. There must be a resaon for the lost of clinics, tag office, and schools. We need a Strong district 5 comminissner, someone that will put the issues out in public for all to see, and shine the light on the commissioners who vote againist us.

To Valerie, have you looked at your property taxes lately? No, we don’t want to live in the city of Pensacola, but through the past several years the Century area has lost Its drivers liscense office, tag office, hospital, 3 schools! Not to mention a bank, and Children and Family Services. We just want our tax dollars spent in our area.

Keep it up folks. If you keep crying about things not being in the north end of Florida, you will also get to pay taxes like they do in the south end of Florida. It is no big deal to drive the distance that we do to go to the hospital. I like the country to stay country. If you want city, you will pay city taxes. Nothing is free.

Amen…….there are four clinics close to us in Alabama…one in Atmore, Uriah and Frisco City and Evergreen..I believe they are Federal funded cllinics. Guess where the only one for us is>>>> Pensacola.
But I do like the tax discount idea..Maybe just remember all this re-election time….

Escambia county health dept is continually taking away services for the northend of the county. With the H1N1 flu outbreak, I had contacted them to see if they would have any “flu clinics” up in this area…I was directed to somewhere on Fairfield Dr. in Pensacola! This is ashame. Three communities: Walnut hill, Molino, and Century and none of them offer a full service clinic…Century is only open a couple of days a month! Perhaps, we could get a discount on our property taxes etc since we have only a small percent of services offered to those who live near or in Pensacola.
