That really scary, but it was there own fault. He should not have ran teh stop sign, adn the other should not have been driving with the suspended licence. Karma, it’ll get all of us.

It seems to be that more people injured at this intersection are those that are not from area. A caution light sure couldn’t hurt. Time gets away from me now days but it seems like no more than a year or so ago several young people lost their lives at this same intersection and they were not from the imediate area. Also a lady from North of Flomation not long before that lost her life traveling from the same direction as the folk in todays accident. I travel through this intersection regularly and there is somethig to be said about the way the two roads cross and the location of the stop sign for Old Flomaton road and how soon you come to the stop sign on Jefferson Av. After dropping over a hill. The FHP and the Century City Fathers need to pay close attention to all these accidents and the loss of life.

The intersection is not a bad intersection….there are just a LOT of poor drivers who either don’t pay attention or they think they can “beat ” the vehicle traveling on Hwy 4…I have had several people run the stop sign when I am coming to the intersection and some who just sit and then pull out ahead of you…I slow down when I get near there because the people traveling on Old Flomaton seem to think that they have the right of way and not the stop sign.

Drivers have to start paying attention on the roads people. Stop lights, stop signs, yield signs and caution lights have a purpose on our highways. These signs are all on the drivers test when you attempt to obtain your license. Yellow does not mean speed up and a stop does not mean slow down. These are accidents that can be prevented. Everybody has to take responsiblilty. This is happening way too frenquently on our highways today and age is not the culprit. The ” my time is more valuable than your time” is a cause for a lot of these accidents. Slow down and drive responsibly.

This is not a bad intersection. You can see fine in both directions. The stop sign is there for a reason. A caution light or red light would do nothing but hold up traffic on hwy 4. Just my opinion.

How many accidents must there be in this area before a caution light is put in??? Since I’m sure money has something to do with the reason there is not a light there now, It would pay for itself just in the savings we’d see from not sending police and ambulance out every time there’s an accident.

Wow, I hope everybody is OK. This picture needs to be sent to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) for review. It looks like the Chevy got the better of the Nissan. This is scary indeed as I drive a full-size Nissan pickup truck, but I used to drive a full-size Chevrolet.
