not sure if everyone got to see the anvil shoot but it was a great one! my daddy David Blackwell normally did the previous anvil shoots along with some of his friends from Mississippi but this year my brother carried on my daddy's tradition since his death last November. Way to go bubba! it was an emotional time for the family since daddy wasnt here to do it but I think he would have been so proud of him! RIP David Blackwell

Thank you and hats off to the Gabberts! A job well done! This festival has grew so much over the years and has brought many people to the small quiet town of Jay, FL. I'm very proud to be from this town. If you missed the festival this year you truly missed a great time. I hope that this festival continues to grow and do well for the Gabberts. They deserve a lot of praise for putting this all together for everyone to enjoy. If you get a chance to meet Mr. & Mrs. Gabbert or their daughter Mandy, make sure to tell them how much you enjoyed the festival. We want this to go on for many years. I look forward to the event every year.

The festival seemed bigger than usual this year. More vendors, etc. It was alot of fun. The food was great!! And I have to say the peanut items and baked items were priced just right!! The BBQ booth had the best sweet tea! Shishkabobs were great ...but overpriced. When you go to this festival you are surrounded by pleasant people all the way around. :) Thank the Lord the rain stayed away!

Lowerys peanuts are the ones that were boiled A group of youth were selling them. They are located on the right going toward the main food area. They were great. Have bought peanuts from them in the past. Are always very very clean. The nuts are already washed. No stems no dirt or sand. Just put in bags take out and boil.Lowerys peanuts can be bought at their farm. Right down road number in the book. Not sure if open on Sunday. I also always bought some from Hollian Farms. He has for sale at festival. His are great also. This are already washed, also. It is nice to see people come out and support the farmers. I come from a line of farmers. Love to hear the stories of my dad. Breaking the ground with mule. Milking cows how good all the food was that was growned on the farm. I can understand why some people always referto Jay as Gods Country.
